Oracle XE 10g compatibility
If for some reason you want to install the old Oracle XE 10g on newer versions of Windows and you get the error "Error 1628: Failed to complete installation", then try enabling Compatibility Mode (Windows 7) + "Run as administrator" for all executables in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\InstallShield\Driver\11\Intel 32\". Kill all prior install processes if any (or reboot), then try again.
