USB stops working on any OS after installing Windows driver updates
Turn off the battery in UEFI setup under power or unplug the battery from the mainboard. Leave off for a few hours - the latter appears to be important as it didn't work for me when powering it on right away.
Touchpad 2-finger gestures stop working on Linux after Windows driver updates
Run UEFI diagnostics and run the reset mouse test to fix this.
